NRITYA KALA MANDIR

Nritya Kala Mandir (NKM), the School of Indian Classical Dance, specializes in Bharatanatyam dance style. Nritya Kala Mandir, literally translates as “Temple of Dance” and was established by Mrs. Kanan Bhatt, in 2001.

Mrs. Kanan Bhatt, the founding director, is an acclaimed dance teacher and Choreographer of Bharatanatyam dance style. She holds Alankar (M.A. in Dance) from Gandharva Mahavidyalay, Amdavad and Nritya Kovid from Nalanda Dance Research Centre, Mumbai, India.

Currently, NKM trains young students in Bharatnatyam and Indian Folk dances at 3 different locations in GTA – Scarborough,Vaughan and Brampton.
