The Pipes and Drums of The Lorne Scots (Peel, Dufferin, Halton Regiment)

The Regimental Pipes and Drums of the Lorne Scots are one of the oldest Pipe Bands in Canada, having been formed in 1881. The Pipes and Drums have participated in street parades, military tattoos, indoor and outdoor concerts, art festivals, ethnic celebrations, royal visits, civic receptions and public entertainment events. Members of the Pipes and Drums are made up of reserve military members and civilian volunteers.

The Pipes and Drums of the Lorne Scots were the first Canadian Reserve Pipe Band to play at the Edinburgh Tattoo in 1960 and again in 1970 and have performed for many important dignitaries including Her Majesty The Queen, HRH The Duke of Kent, The Duke of Argyll, Governors General, Lieutenant Governors, The Prime Minister, and various Premiers.

Most recently, The Pipes and Drums took part in celebrations for the 50th Anniversary of the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers in London, UK, where they performed at The Tower of London and Windsor Castle, as well as participating in the Freedom of the City of London.

Currently, the Pipes and Drums are under the direction of Pipe Major Jeremy Federico and Drum Major Jeffrey Boyle.
