Avni Vyas is a passionate and accomplished Indian Classical Dance teacher based in Brampton. She graduated with a distinction first class Honours B.A. in Dance in 1998 and was the gold medal recipient of the state of Gujarat. She has been teaching Bharatanatyam and other folk dances for over 35 years.

She has been the founder, creative director, and primary dance instructor of Shivanjali Dance Academy in Brampton for the last 15 years. She has won numerous awards at state and national levels in India and Canada. She has organised annual dance shows showcasing various styles of Indian dance. She holds a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology and is a Certified Dental Assistant by profession. She currently works with Accerta, a company managing government-funded dental programs for persons with disabilities, seniors under the Ontario Seniors Dental Program, and the Ontario Autism Program.

In 2023, Avni founded and organised a charity show focused on the empowerment of women that featured an all-female cast of artists from the Greater Toronto Area called Sheravi. Through this vibrant and powerful artistic showcase, Avni raised $7000 for domestic violence shelters in Ontario.
