JAYEETA BANERJEE

Jayeeta Banerjee is a noted Bharatnattyam practitioner in the world of Indian classical dance. A recipient of several awards, scholarships and titles, including National Nrutya Bhusan Samman, IWD awards for Performing Arts and Pt Jasraj National Scholarship for Bharatanatyam. She has gained wide acclaim and recognition from the press and audience from all over the world for her mesmerizing performances.

She has trained under Guru Dr. Thankamani Kutty and Smt Lata Pada. Presently, Jayeeta is the artistic director of Vivarta Center for Performing Arts, Toronto which is her institution dedicated to research and learning of Bharatnattyam. Jayeeta is engaged in various mentorship projects and collaborates with  artists from all over Canada, US, UK and India.
